Boiler Servicing

A boiler servicing service might seem like just one more expense to add to your household bills, but it is an important one for a few reasons.  A service on a boiler is a bit like on a car – it looks at the most common problems and the most well-used parts to see if there’s need for repair or replacement.  By doing this, it can reduce the risk of the boiler breaking down, especially when you need it most during the winter.

Boiler servicing can vary slightly depending on the type and model of the boiler but the core things we would look at include things like inspecting the boiler, ensuring it is working properly, making sure the pressure and temperature of the feed water is correct and that the gas flue is safe.

Having a regular service helps to extend the lifespan of the boiler.  That’s because it can catch many of the most common problems that create breakdowns in boilers and also ensures they are working at their peak capacity – which saves you money on those utility bills.

If you have a boiler still under warranty, a service may be a part of keeping that valid.  Usually, this will state you need to have an annual service in order for the warranty to be in place by a Gas Safe registered engineer – which we are.
